In the heart of downtown Houston, La Fisheria was the choice for a drink. It was a Thursday, and with a concert on the agenda, we found ourselves parched for a pre-show cocktail. The evening began with margaritas de la casa, setting the tone for what was to come. The sope estilo gobernador arrived, a fried, fluffy tortilla brimming with shrimp, a delightful complimentary poblano dip, courtesy of a Yelp check-in, was a nice touch, teasing the palate with its rich, smoky notes. But the highlight was the pulpo a la parrilla octopus, perfectly tender, kissed by the grill, delivering a taste that was nothing short of extraordinary. As for me, the trio taco fish, shrimp, and lobster, offered the taste of baja, although the tacos, a touch too cold, and the lobster a bit too fishy, but never the less a great evening with a happy belly.

Visited for Restaurant Weeks and really enjoyed the ceviche verde and the whole fish! It was delicious. Can't wait to visit and try more of the menu.

Tried this spot again. We came for the ceviche and was not disappointed. If you want to avoid the crowds come on Sunday. If you want to socialize with the masses, come in on Saturday. They have a full bar and plenty of room. Wait staff was very nice, efficient and patient with us. Apps: Trio Empanadas/ Ceviche Verde Entree: Corn Tamales w/ shrimp Dessert: Churros Everything was great and I'm glad we gave them a second chance. This will be our go-to for ceviche. Enter freely, they've been approved.

First of all ~ I LOVE this restaurant. Ive come to know it pretty well and fell in love with it after going throughout the past few years. It has never disappointed me. Second ~ I brought my boyfriend here because we both decide to start eating lighter and add more fish into our diet. I had the pompano al limon and my bf had the tilapia I believe I can't remember. We both loved it. The food tasted amazing as always. My boyfriend was very happy naturally made me very happy as well :) Third point ~ The service was great! Our waiter was really nice and attentive. Last but not least ~ the ambience is great. I love the way they did the inside of the restaurant. They have beautiful art, very fun to get sophisticated colors - I definitely say it's a nice restaurant, but it also can be casual. Great place for a date.

Overall just okkkk... This place is super close to my house so was excited to give it a try. The interior is super bright and spacious. A little empty for a Thursday night downtown... Service was friendly but the food came out soooo slowwww.... We were there for over two hours and only ordered HRW menu and an app/ceviche. Hoping this was a fluke... Food was good enough but a bit pricey. I had queso fundido which was ok. The ceviche laking a little flavor but the seafood was of good quality. My favorite thing was the chips! Those were the best tortilla chips. Overall I may give another shot if I can catch a happy hour deal or come by at lunch.

This place was super cute inside and delicious! My peach sangria was also amazing. It was super clean inside and the colors and atmosphere were super appealing. The only reason why I did not give a five star rating is because the service was extremely slow. We were there almost 3 hours. Maybe there is less wait staff during the week?

The place was super cute and slow don't know if it was slow cause it was a holiday but that was beneficial for my table. Our waitress was very helpful. The tamale de camarón was very good and would order it again. I also tried their oysters and they were delicious.

I'm not a fish fan and this place won me over. We came for lunch on a Saturday and it was surprisingly not busy, but I bet it gets packed for dinner (or it should!). We had a large party and our waitress was amazing, so friendly and accommodating. The whole staff was really; they made the experience really great on top of the delicious food and drink. I had their strawberry margarita (sweet like I like it) and then had their sweet corn tamales with bacon and shrimp - a dish that was on a famous Houston food dishes list at some point. I can see why - it is super unique and tasty! It is also quite rich, so be prepared to take some home with you or better yet share with someone so you can try more dishes. They also had great desserts - the churros were a hit. Parking - paid lot next door ($20 on weekends, FYI) or street.
